About

Yashica Pi is a project where I have transformed a Yashica A camera from using 120 analog film to Raspberry Pi camera.

Also, I have had to learn many new things. Examples are my first Raspberry Pi, learning basic Linux commandos and the programming language Python.

The story

The story begins some time ago when I bought a Yashica A camera for as decorations. It turns out that with a little love I get the camera to work and take a few pictures with it.

After a while I bought unseen a new camera. This camera is dented and marked by the previous owner. He have tried to repaerer camera unsuccessfully.

At the same time Raspberry Pi Zero is launched. Very attractively priced and sized friendly. Recently came Raspberry Pi Zero 1.2 with camera input at the same price.

An old idea to redo the old analog camera to digital camera was put to life.

Twitter

Yeah, I’m on Twitter https://twitter.com/YashicaPi Not sure what I will use my Twitter for. Maybe short updates or perhaps make the camera autoupload images?

This blog

This blog is not a complete tutorial. But my post show tips and tricks and things I’ve learned along the way.

Finally, I must apologize my bad English. English is not my mother tongue.
